Thankful Life - December 31, 2015

Healing may look differently to us, than it does to God... we have to be aware if this as we look to see God's work in our lives... in our bodies.... in our minds... and hold every thought captive in the process to seek God first, as He never ceases to pursue us toward perfection. We know that we will not get to perfection here on this fallen earth, but we can count of the fact that we have a perfect God rooting for our every moment.

Your mercies are many Father, and I pray I can be even more grateful for Your goodness.
I pray for those who are feeling hopeless and helpless Father. Help us to intercede greatly. Through Christ Jesus and in hope of the Holy Spirit working for our good.

I personally don't think we can 'schedule' a healing session. I believe we must be watchful and hopeful at all times and believe that God is always with us. We are to live in gratitude for the ultimate healing for our sin, and trusting that our Father has our life and our healing under control, all the while continuing to praise Him in our circumstances, and ask others to pray on our behalf. AND knowing that our greatest intercessor is our Savior, who diligently goes before our Father on our behalf... and the Holy Spirit always working all things out for our good.

"So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self[man] is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day." ~2 Corinthians 4:16 (English Standard Version)

God expects us to come to Him for healing... and expect an answer, it just may not be "yes, right now" or "yes" period.

We have prayer whenever we gather corporately at our church... we pray for one another, in the hope that we will all be encouraged through the Spirit and remember the very reason we are hopeful.

"By His stripes" refers to the shed blood for our transgressions.... it does not promise healing of this body. And, we should remember that when we are praying for healing of this body.

If I didn't make it clear above, I completely believe that God heals us physically and emotionally today... and I have seen it. And, we should continue to pray expectantly.

My prayer tonight is that we can truly "hold every thought captive", which we KNOW it is His desire that we live for today, through His Word, IN HIS STRENGTH.

"Mighty armies alone cannot win wars for a king; great strength by itself cannot keep a soldier safe. In war the strength of a horse cannot be trusted to take you to safety. But the LORD watches over ALL who honor Him and trust His kindness." ~Psalm 33:16-18 (Common English Version)

On the days that I cannot focus, I find myself reeling into the depths of darkened moments. God has used many ways to draw me back into the light, however, it has been through deciding to have the action of gratitude (to clarify, gratitude for all He does for His children). These past few days have been much more clear than this past year. I am grateful for clarity of His Word, not only in my mind, but in my heart - I cannot convey wholly how amazing my soul has soured these past few days engaging in His Word.

I can tell you being ill before Christ, and being ill now is so much different.

THOUGHTS, THOUGHTS AND MORE THOUGHTS... that is what this life's trials deserve. Every thought that is Christ... in and out of each storm.

Sometimes in our own circumstances, we can get stuck and unable to move, or be moved. LORD, I do not want that for my life.

 I have noticed that praying for others, helps my own communication with God. How about you?
When I intercede for my brothers and sisters, the Holy Spirit ministers greatly to me.

 Looking at things through the eyes of Christ, takes work. In the moments when our flesh is weak, the Holy Spirit continues His work in us.

Believing that perspective today.

Awesome Father, You are the answer for every single need here with our brothers and sisters in this group. Help us LORD to see Your plan and purpose in all this, that is lyme disease and all that goes with it for many of us here. There is great need here Lord Jesus, and we ask boldly for Your pleading with our Father for all in need. Holy Spirit we count on Your counsel, strength, courage and wisdom to guide us to Your will for our lives here. We pray in Your whole strength, and believe the Father's promise, "to never leave us" and that we are loved beyond measure, and created out of love for love. Help us to encourage one another. Help us to abide in Your desires for our lives, in our hearts... Let our lives, with or without pain, challenge or obstacles glorify You. Thank You for Your constant pursuit of us to be Christ-like to love one another, and hold Your Word deep in our thoughts to easily share in Christ-like lives. We come to You corporately Lord, in trust, hope and love in Christ Jesus. Amen

My Life is a Prayer - December 29, 2015

The Serenity Prayer
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can; ...
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.

--Reinhold Niebuhr

Note: The serenity prayer is not actually in the Bible, but rather was originally written by theologian Reinhold Niebuhr in the 1930s or 1940s.

Often I find myself trying to figure things out, when all I really need to do is "rest" in the knowledge that God is for me - at all times.

Giving thanks in all things has truly been my saving habit. In this time, which is resolution time for most of the world... is a time of reflection as we head into the new year. We pray for one another 'to heal', but mostly, we pray for one another to GROW towards the LORD. I have found this past year to be tougher than I thought it would be... not because of the physical hinderences, but because I find myself reeling to keep in His Word.

My prayer is to be wholly His... wholly submissive to His will.... wholly obedient... wholly thankful in all things.

I discovered that I have wasted so much time trying to figure out how to get better, when all I need to do is trust the path I am on. My doctor (who is not a believer) affirmed me best when I told him I don't have the energy to "write everything down... (symptoms, responses, pain, reactions)". He said, "Focus on getting better and staying 'in your life'. LIVE." LIVE.... because He died and lives for me. Grateful, truly grateful that every day is new... every moment is precious in His sight.

For me, that is the key. Fighting to work every day, and fighting to stay focused on the accomplishments of the LORD in my life... that is what living is all about. I am not dismissing my pain, but placing it where it belongs... outside of my focus.

Heavenly and gracious Father, You are my reason to fight every day. Help me to submit when submission is 'impossible', and obey when life seems impossible. Help me grow in wisdom and trust Your plan... help me to believe more deeply, more purely in the journey that is Your plan and to hold every thought captive that is Yours, and to let go of all that will not serve You. To Your glory and honor Lord Jesus.

My Life is a Prayer - December 1, 2015

Thank You LORD for our family here. We pray for those who are not with family or friends tomorrow to be encouraged, to hear from loved ones... to lift their heavy hearts and souls for comfort and peace. Heavenly and gracious Father, Thank You for all the miracles we receive, both unknown and the recognizable ones. Thank You for giving us a family here to come to and lament and be supported. YOU ARE OUR SALVATION, in this world as well as our final home. Many of us are despera...te for Your intervening with the earthly systems. Help us to better prepare ourselves for the physical, emotional and spiritual battles we face daily. Give us the strength to seek You in our hardest of times, and in the times when gratitude in our hearts are forgotten. Help us in our daily seeking, our daily thankfulness... our right mindedness... our stamina and faith. WE NEED YOU TO INTERVENE, to show us when you are right here with us - we understand that You are always present in our abidance and obedience - show us the path to strength and courage. Help us understand the bits and pieces of the things that go on in our lives now, and remember the miracles that are known, and to realize the miracles that we have not recognized yet. Give us eyes to see, ears to hear and the spirit to move closer and closer to You. Amazing God, we are Yours... and You ARE our everything. Gratefully we come in name of our Savior, Christ Jesus and trust the leading in our hearts, minds and souls through the Holy Spirit... GOD IN US. In agreement with others and in whole heart I pray and submit!
