Approaching His throne in prayer gives me so much confidence and comfort and last night was no different. As the words were shot at me, the temptation to respond as I once did entered my mind, as immediately as it did, I stopped and prayed. Father, remove these reactions from my heart, give me a mind of clarity and truth. In that “moment”, I avoided heartache and turmoil. Now to be honest, this was not an avoidance to respond outwardly, but to respond internally, which is harmful and disallows taking forward steps. I am grateful for the habit of prayer, and the urgings of the Holy Spirit as I begin to falter.
I am grateful for this amazing transformed heart that is God’s, and daily for His love and promises.
"Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me." Psalm 51:10 (New International Version)
