Day 969 of Giving Thanks

A broken heart's repair comes from breathing Him in wholly and completely...

Believe He's got you.

Leaving me behind LORD to become more of You. I want a heart of worship, a life of praise, an attitude of thankfulness. I want to be more like You LORD!

Let us worship in whole heart, in clear mind and an openness that is new filled with hope and joy of the LORD in us.

"Arise, shine; for your light has come, And the glory of the LORD has risen upon you.” ~Isaiah 60:1 (New American Standard Bible)

God's changes in us are happening right before us, we either decide to partake in them or fight against them. Many say, "God is not answering my prayer", "God does not care about my problems", "what good is prayer, nothing is going to change anyway"... God says, "He even knows the number of hairs on your head; Come to Me", but mostly we can read, "God so loved the world He sent His only son". We have a God of love, mercy and tenderness.

“So you are a teacher of Israel,” said Jesus, “and you do not recognise such things? I assure you that we are talking about something we really know and we are witnessing to something we have actually observed, yet men like you will not accept our evidence. Yet if I have spoken to you about things which happen on this earth and you will not believe me, what chance is there that you will believe me if I tell you about what happens in Heaven? No one has ever been up to Heaven except the Son of Man who came down from Heaven. The Son of Man must be lifted above the heads of men—as Moses lifted up that serpent in the desert—so that any man who believes in him may have eternal life. For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that every one who believes in him shall not be lost, but should have eternal life. You must understand that God has not sent his Son into the world to pass sentence upon it, but to save it—through him. Any man who believes in him is not judged at all. It is the one who will not believe who stands already condemned, because he will not believe in the character of God’s only Son. This is the judgment—that light has entered the world and men have preferred darkness to light because their deeds are evil. Anybody who does wrong hates the light and keeps away from it, for fear his deeds may be exposed. But anybody who is living by the truth will come to the light to make it plain that all he has done has been done through God.” ~John 3:10-21 (J.B. Phillips New Testament)

In salvation, we have eternal hope and assurances for life. In Christ we have daily hope and assurances for change toward perfection in this life. There is nothing more we need to desire - wouldn’t you agree?

“I appeal to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship.
“Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].” ~Romans 12:1-2 (Amplified Bible)

Tonight Father, we come to You hopeful and in hope. We stand in Your presence and request Your presence because You promise us life in You and through You, thank You. We praise You for changes made in us, Your children and all the changes yet to be realized. We are grateful for these changes; we thank You for Your amazing assurances and promises. We pray for our brothers and sister, those who struggle to believe, but who are so faithful, we pray for those who have faith in You, yet disbelieve that You are for them. Help us LORD to be wholly Yours, more like You. Keep us looking away from the world, separated from the flesh and keeping our eyes, ears, heart and thoughts toward Your Word. This and all things can be accomplished because of You Father, in the work of the Holy Spirit and through Christ. Amen.
