Day 864 of Giving Thanks

by Tina Wetor

Redeemed Priceless
A redeemed heart can’t be condemned; the penalty has been paid at the cross.  If we can grasp this statement, we will walk different.   Instead of holding our heads down, we will have a sparkle in our eye.  Sadly, so many people are fearful of judgment, they don’t realize the power of their redemption.  We are redeemed by the blood of Christ; our sins are paid in full.

Satan desires to distort the truth, so we can’t see clearly.  If we truly understood the price, we would never doubt our worth.  Satan is a liar, it’s his nature.  Yet, his webs of deception are preventing the redeemed from walking in victory.  Although Satan may accuse or whisper reminders of our weakness, his mission is only to destroy our faith.  If Satan can steal our joy, kill our faith, he can destroy our lives.  It’s what He desires but it doesn’t have to be yours.

We have a defense against Satan’s accusations, the TRUTH.  When we understand who we are in Christ, we walk with uplifted hearts.  Christ doesn’t desire for His children to walk downcast, He is one who lifts up our heads.  Why is your heart down today?  Let go!  If you hold unto the guilt and shame, love can’t be received.

It’s time to quit walking in fear and to walk in TRUTH.  We are forgiven, it’s done.  Perfect love casts out fear.  Fear isn’t from God, so its voice needs to be rebuked.  We need to be careful to whose voice we listen to because it will direct our lives.  Yes, Satan will whisper to our hearts to prevent us from realizing the truth.  Our price has been paid, God doesn’t take refunds.  He doesn’t throw us away because we stumble, He lifts us up.

So, get up!  Wipe the tears from your eyes, walk in truth.  The penalty is paid, so our lives could experience the joy of redemption, I am God’s property.

1 Peter 1:18-19 says, “For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver and gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.”
