Day 677 of Giving Thanks - Ron McIntyre

A thought to ponder! I've always loved this quote, "Our Deepest Fear".

It seems to sum up so many powerful roles for being successful and content that I've always felt it to hold serious power in its own right too.

It certainly serves to inspire me anyway.

When I was studying martial arts several years ago I was taught a saying "Shan Koo Poo Yingyai" which means, "I Am Powerful Beyond Measure", and it reminds me of this super-powerful principle.

To remember just how powerful you really are is not a bad thing right?

Believing it is even better!

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous, extraordinary?

Actually, who are you not to be?

We each are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel secure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do.

We are born to manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear through Jesus, our presence automatically liberates others. We are to fear only our Father, yet we are not to be afraid. This power I speak of can only come from our loving God--His gift to His children and through this gift we are able to defeat the enemy. So my friends, use it - it's yours!!

Strength and Honor, Ron McIntyre

I love this Ron, thank you so much for letting me use it for today’s giving thanks…

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." Matthew 5:14-17 (NIV)

Honor Him, shine...

This is one of my life's verses... I love, "In the same way, let your light shine before others..." Because we are loved so deeply and have been adored so intentionally by our Father in heaven, through the blood of Christ and with the continual guide of the Holy Spirit that is what we do to honor HIM.
