Day 790 of Giving Thanks Daily

As I muttered the words, “Lord, please take this...” I instantly knew that it was already requested and my prayer was answered. He takes all that we cannot handle, and thankfully, lets us keep what will help us grow in faith and wisdom.

God wants you to grow in faith. You will be tested and retested because He loves you, and when you begin to trust Him, you will grow and transform. Believe that He will bring you through every test when you believe that you can trust Him.

“And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.” ~Philippians 4:19 (Lexham English Bible)

Although it is tough right in the middle of a storm, cleaning up can be a bit of work too - especially if I didn't storm proof my heart and mind. It is God's promises, only revealed through His Word that can provide the protection and restoration needed for any, and all storms, before and after.

“Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.  And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.” ~Mark 11:22-26 (New International Version) see also, Matthew 6:15 and James 2:14-18.

Pressure can come from all directions, in all forms, all sized and in ways unthinkable... put on your God thoughts today and allow God to push it all back, and you just rest in the knowledge of His perfect covering for your life.

When we stop pushing through and press in to Him, we can see Him relieving all the pressure that comes at us.

The enemy is in full swing, not just today, but every day. Just make sure you are throwing your best fastball, curve ball, change up and slider completely powered by the Holy Spirit.

We already know the outcome, but we are still in the game, and we cannot play well without being well prepared and equipped. So everyday be grateful for your circumstances and know that His hand is upon your life and wrapped firmly around the outcome. Stay in His will, give God thanks and trust the leading of the Holy Spirit.

“I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men—the testimony given in its proper time. ~1 Timothy 2:1-6 (New International Version)
