Did you know that God works through people and that we are designed to need others?
All of us have opinions, convictions and otherwise points of view, however, these are the things that should not divide us; these things just make us different.
We are equipped uniquely and differently – our gifts are revealed to us in ways that only God understands, and we are placed perfectly in the body of Christ. Brothers and sisters, we are to remember that we are all necessary, people need you just as you are in Christ. Because God made you, you are important, special and complimentary to many and we must expect to be best utilized by working together – working to the best of our own abilities, as well as to the most of our abilities in the strength of the Holy Spirit.
We are all very different, but we are all created by the same God; all knowing, all powerful and perfect.
“Now there are distinctive varieties and distributions of endowments (gifts, extraordinary powers distinguishing certain Christians, due to the power of divine grace operating in their souls by the Holy Spirit) and they vary, but the [Holy] Spirit remains the same.
“And there are distinctive varieties of service and ministration, but it is the same Lord [Who is served].
“And there are distinctive varieties of operation [of working to accomplish things], but it is the same God Who inspires and energizes them all in all.
“But to each one is given the manifestation of the [Holy] Spirit [the evidence, the spiritual illumination of the Spirit] for good and profit.
“To one is given in and through the [Holy] Spirit [the power to speak] a message of wisdom, and to another [the power to express] a word of knowledge and understanding according to the same [Holy] Spirit;” ~1 Corinthians 12:4-8
I am grateful that I am different, unique yet come from the same Creator as you, my brothers and sisters. There is truly a bond, one which, if used as designed, cannot break and can be an amazing force in this world that we are visitors to. Let us strengthen one another, encourage one another and love one another through the same edification of Jesus Christ. Let us dwell on who created us, rather than what can separate us.
“For the body does not consist of one limb or organ but of many.” ~1 Corinthians 12:14
“But earnestly desire and zealously cultivate the greatest and best gifts and graces (the higher gifts and the choicest graces). And yet I will show you a still more excellent way [one that is better by far and the highest of them all--love].” ~1 Corinthians 12:31
