Day 396 of Giving Thanks

“I am worth the endless love of a mighty God... “ ~God in me.

And, as I reflect on that statement, I am filled with gratitude – a thankfulness that did not reside in this mind before knowing God.  I am just beginning to scrape the surface of this new heart, and invasion of an ageless love. This love gives and gives, will never cease to love and overflows with yet, even more love. That is the state of my heart.

“O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me.” ~Psalm 139:1

“Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.” ~2 Corinthians 1:21-22 (NIV)

With my heart overflowing and my mind in continual renewal, I can watch God work in my life – I can see the perfect hand of an artist 'paint my life'. Although all that He gives, He gives freely, I know it is priceless; and although I will be a perfect work of art, at some time, I know there is perfection in my savior – that God’s true Masterpiece is the reason I have so much.

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” ~Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)

Right now, many things in my life may appear to be quite messy – but I am confident that He is methodically and progressively connecting all the dots of my circumstances and continuing the lines of this journey.  I trust His guidance, His correction and His confirmation.

All that He does, all that He has done and all that He wills in my life, is not only “the art of my life”, it is absolutely priceless what I have, as well as what I have to look forward to.

How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!" ~Psalm 139:17-18

  1. I love it, excellent! There's a verse in Proverbs that I think explains our spiritual life with Christ: "One man pretends to be rich, yet has nothing; another pretends to be poor, yet has great wealth." As Christians, one can say our lives are messy and that God isn't doing anything. But inside ourselves, as God leads us to not hold those opinions against people...they think we are wrong because we don't defend ourselves! So we too, appear to be poor, but inside, we know we are rich. God bless you Shawn, you're always a great encouragement!
